VDCI
VDCI technicians fill out paperwork for every pesticide chemical they apply. And they manage pesticides for cities and neighboods across the United States (and the Carribean!). This adds up to a lot of paperwork from a lot of technicians, every. single. summer.
They had previously been working with an Access Database that they manually transcribed paper forms from field technicians into. As their company grew, this was no longer a viable solution. I worked with the VDCI team to not only digitize their physical paperwork, but to improve their workflow with autocompleted fields, visual maps of treated sites, and drive paths of spray truck sessions. This allowed VDCI and their clients, greater visibility into their work, more accurate reporting, and allowed them to grow to new markets.
I’ve continued to work with the VDCI team since 2017, integrating acquired software systems, adapting to new reporting requirements, and adding addtional features / refinements. While enterprise software may not be the most exciting, the amazing strides in efficiency are extremely satisfying and revolutionary for a company like VDCI.
