LunarLincoln
Pretty much any mobile or web UI you see in my portfolio was done through LunarLincoln. It has been my main squeeze for over 5 years and during my tenure here, I’ve helped dozens of companies craft or improve their mobile products in numerous ways. While LunarLincoln has been the vehicle for many other projects, this company itself has been an ongoing and rewarding project too.
I concieved the company name (and branding) one afternoon with my business partner, Jonathan Wiley. We wanted to convey a business that was optimistic, innovative, and exciting. LunarLincoln is a combination of each of our passions: Wiley = Space Exploration and Me = History. Both Lincoln and the early space pioneers were far ahead of their field. They dreamt of a future that was wildly different from their present circumstances. The alliteration sounded good we registered the domain name and BAM! we had ourselves a company.
Plus it’s pretty fun to Photoshop Abe into various space suits. (Yes, each of those business cards IS a custom coloration of a real Abe portrait, lovingly ‘shopped onto an Astronaut.)
Over the years, I’ve produced tons of promotional materials for LunarLincoln: business cards, tshirts, stickers, enamel pins, mugs, slide decks…even socks! While my day to day at LunarLincoln exists largely in the mobile UI realm for other clients, it’s always been satisfying to design new things for LunarLincoln.
In addition to design, I’m also the voice of the Twitter account and blog content. I do it all! (Or I have to learn to.)
